Vulcan 120 Aimo features Roccat’s in-house developed mechanical ‘Titan-switch’ and, as the name suggests, Roccat’s Aimo RGB lighting system. Having 1.8mm actuation point with a 3.6mm travel distance, the switches are specially designed to provide for swift keystrokes that still feel tactile. Each switch comprises a long-lasting, individually-customizable LED, hence giving the user with spectacular illumination & RGB-lighting control on the per-key basis.
The keyboard has a low-profile design. Keys are fast & responsive & are topped with slim-lined, ultra-light keycaps. The keys are raised unlike laptop keys, yet are optimized for dust resistance. They are also well-sized & spaced to provide for effortless typing experience. Even the key-layout is as smart as the design itself. Numeric & arrow keys are kept separately, and it also features Special keys for multimedia support, lighting control & dedicated volume controls. There’s also a multi-purpose dial at the top right corner of the keyboard.
The Vulcan 120 Aimo includes a magnetic wrist-warp & adjustable rubberized feet, aimed at providing comfort during long gaming sessions. The Vulcan 120 Aimo also comes in other variations with reduced flexibility & price. Vulcan 100 Aimo is almost similar to Vulcan120 Aimo but lacks a wrist-wrap. There’s also a Vulcan 80 Aimo that ditches the special keys & RGB-backlighting & instead opts for single-color backlighting.
