Disable Auto playing Facebook videos on PC and Android

In the recent Facebook feature update Facebook has enabled by default the video auto playing, which means that whenever you are scrolling on your Facebook timeline and video appears it will start playing automatically. Auto play videos can be useful for some, but could be annoying also, if you are annoyed by this feature and wants to disable it read this article on how to disable auto playing Facebook videos on PC and Android.

Disable Auto Playing Facebook Video on PC

  • Login to your Facebook Account
  • Click the down-arrow icon placed top right

Select Settings Facebook

  • Choose settings
  • From the left panel choose Videos

Select Video

  • Now under video setting page, Auto-Play Videos option Change it to off

Set Auto Play Off

That’s all you have to do to disable Facebook videos auto playing on PC.

Disable Auto Playing Facebook Videos on Android App

  • Power on your Android Smartphone
  • Launch Facebook App
  • Click the three horizontal bar icon placed beside the world icon

App Settings Facebook Android App

  • Scroll down and tap App Settings
  • Now tap on Video Auto-Play

Android Facebook Video Auto Play

  • From here choose OFF

Set Auto Play Off facebook Android

That’s all you have to do to disable Facebook auto playing videos on Android. The other option you have here is ‘on’ and ‘Wi-Fi only’. On does is that it auto-play Facebook videos and WIFI only option will auto-play videos only when your phone or tablet is connected to Wi-Fi.
